Meet Dr. anthony j. Rega

Rega

Dr. Rega is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a Fellow, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He is an examiner for the California State Board of Dental Examiners for anesthesia permits.

Dr Rega received his dental degree at New York University College of Dentistry with Double Honors Programs in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Comprehensive Care, Applied Practice Administration.

Dr. Rega completed his Internship and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Rega served as chief resident at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Walter Reed Army Medical Center and East Orange VA Hospital.

Dr. Rega is extensively trained in dentoalveolar surgery, office base anesthesia, dental implants and related bone grafting, facial trauma, facial reconstruction, oral and maxillofacial pathology, Inferior Alveolar Nerve Microsurgical Repair and cleft lip and palate repair. He has special interests in Dental Implants, Out-patient anesthesia, and in office surgery.

Dr. Rega has published articles in the professional literature on topics ranging from Oral Cancer Research, Management of Facial Trauma and Treatment of Oral and Maxillofacial Infections. Dr. Rega has also lectured on a local and national level on Dental Implantology and Maxillofacial Infections.

Dr. Rega has organized and participated numerous International Outreaches, Including his most recent outreach to Guayaquil, Ecuador for the repair of children with cleft lips and palate with Healing the Children.

Dr. Rega lives in Danville with his wife and two beautiful children.  When not practicing oral surgery, he enjoys golfing and being a active Peloton rider (#jaw_doc) and has interests in cooking and wine.
